FMD MARHAM

FMD MARHAM

Defend Your Herd. Defeat Foot and Mouth Disease

FMD Marham is a topical treatment used for managing Foot-and-Mouth Disease (FMD) in cattle and sheep. FMD is a highly contagious viral disease that affects cloven-hoofed animals, including cattle, sheep, goats, pigs, and other ruminants. It leads to fever, blisters, and sores in the mouth, on the feet, and sometimes on the udder and teats.
These symptoms can cause significant discomfort and affect the animal’s ability to move, graze, and produce milk, leading to reduced performance and weight loss.

FMD MARHAM is generally used to treat the external lesions and sores caused by the virus, helping to:

1. Promote Healing

The marham is applied to the affected areas, particularly on the feet and mouth lesions, to aid in faster healing of blisters and sore feet.

2. Reduce Pain and Discomfort

The application soothes the sores and helps decrease inflammation, offering relief from pain for the animal.

3. Prevent Secondary Infections

Since open sores can attract bacterial and lead to secondary infections, FMD Marham creates a protective layer over the wounds, reducing the risk of bacterial contamination.

4. Improve Mobility

FMD often leads to lameness due to sores on the feet.
The marham helps heal these wounds, allowing the animals to regain mobility.

Important Note:

While FMD Marham is useful for symptomatic treatment, it does not cure the viral infection itself.
FMD is a viral disease, and vaccination and strict biosecurity measures are the most effective methods for preventing and controlling outbreaks.

Proper veterinary guidance should always be followed for FMD treatment, including supportive care and quarantine to prevent the spread of the virus to other animals.
